5000 liter tanks for diesel, used oil and water

While imagining the use of a 1000 liter tank can be relatively easy, it is more difficult to understand in which cases a 5000 liter sizing is most necessary. In fact, 5 cubic meter tanks (this corresponds to 5 thousand litres) often seem too large for one’s needs, as well as cumbersome and difficult to install in small spaces such as garages and closets.

The 5000 liter tanks are actually ideal for installation outdoors, outdoors or underground. They can be used as tanks for waste oil and fuel, particularly in the agricultural field. Not only because they prove to be an extremely efficient solution for the storage of agricultural diesel, but also for the storage of water, rainwater or purified through the appropriate systems, to be used for the irrigation of fields and vegetable gardens in small agricultural activities.

Di Camillo sells different types of tanks for diesel and used oil: for a size of 5000 litres, the main ones are

• 5000 liter underground and approved tanks for diesel, double walled and tarred (dimensions 1650 mm x 2570 mm x 1950 mm). Made of S235JR carbon steel, the tanks comply with the Ministerial Decree. 29.11.2002 and subjected to pressure tightness tests. In the upper part of the tanks there is a 400 mm inspection manhole, connections for diesel inlet and 1″1/2 vent, as well as one for a 1″ sleeve to be used in the diesel intake. If necessary, it is possible to supply the tanks with an overflow valve, anti-spillage sump, 3″ hatch and dispensing unit.
• 5000 liter tanks for used oil: these are safety containers, as required by the Ministerial Decree. 16/05/1996, practical in both the indoor and outdoor versions, equipped with a lid with gas pistons which facilitates lifting. In both cases, the tanks are made of carbon steel and painted with an epoxy primer and a two-component glossy polyurethane finish. All 5 thousand liter tanks also have a mechanical level indicator (visible externally) and two mouths, one for loading (diameter 320) with internal grid for filters to drain, and one 2 and ½ inches, including cap for the extraction of oils.

5000 liter water tanks

Not just tanks for diesel and used oil: Di Camillo makes tanks in different materials, to adapt to the uses of any company. For the storage and containment of water, for example, the most suitable tanks are those made of polyethylene, stainless steel and galvanized.

• 5000 liter polyethylene tanks: polyethylene is the best solution for water storage, as it is easy to treat with anti-algae agents, which maintain the characteristics of the liquids contained. The solid and compact “panettone” shape also makes them ideal for the outdoor storage of any type of water, from domestic wastewater to drinking water.
• 5000 liter underground polyethylene tanks: Di Camillo also produces polyethylene tanks with robust ribs and reinforced corrugated surfaces suitable for undergrounding. The underground tanks are equipped with areas in which to insert the fittings, and with a self-cleaning anti-leaf filter. In the case of irrigation purposes, the tanks can then be equipped with an inlet pipe, still pipe and overflow cap, as well as a clapper valve against backflow, and a submersible pump with float equipped with an electronic pressure switch. Furthermore, for the recovery of rainwater from roofs, two specific models are provided (IAP MP 5000 IR and IAP N 5000 IR),including a control unit with pressure gauge, pressure switch, expansion tank and electrical panel, as well as inspection caps and lockable flap lids.
• 5000 liter stainless steel tanks: made of 304 or 316L steel (depending on the installation site), the 5 thousand liter tanks can be used to contain drinking water (according to Ministerial Decree no. 174 of 06 April 2004) . The standard installed dome can be used for the float, as well as to facilitate periodic inspections and cleaning.
• 1000 liter galvanized tanks: galvanized water tanks are used in the storage of water at atmospheric pressure. The galvanized Di Camillo tanks are all equipped with a standard upper inspection dome, 4 anti-roll support feet welded to the bottom and 2″ or 3″ inlet connections.
