    Model: IAP N 5000 IR

    DATA SHEET RAINWATER RECOVERY SYSTEM FOR IRRIGATION

    Rainwater recovery plant in monolithic polyethylene ribbed model manufactured by interro built in the rotational moulding technique constant wall thickness reinforced by vertical ribs.

    The plant includes: PVC inlet/outlet pipe, self-cleaning leaf filter with stainless steel grid with filtering efficiency of 90% installed inside the turret, decanter pipe and pump to the users and system control unit. The control unit to be installed outside on a special room consists of: pressure gauge, pressure switch, volume expansion tank of 8 lt, non-return valve and electric control panel.

    Function and use

    The system is suitable for the accumulation and recovery of rainwater coming exclusively from building roofs. The recovered water can be reused for watering plants, vegetable gardens, gardens and for washing vehicles. It is however mandatory to keep the uses of drinking water related to hygiene, body care and cooking fed by the public aqueduct. Every user used with recovery water must be indicated with a sign indicating “NON POTABLE WATER”. The control unit shall be installed in a special room near the storage tank.

     

    Sizing

    The BIOBLU rainwater recovery system is easy to use and reduces to a minimum the consumption of mains water for all applications where rainwater can be used.

    For the sizing of the useful volume of the recovery tank, there are some calculation systems that include some variable data depending on the needs. The following describes a “standard system” for calculating the volume of the storage tank in accordance with UNI EN 11445.

    Parameters for calculating the useful volume of the tank

    Volume recoverable in one year:

    • Q = P x S x 0.9 (litres)
    • P = average annual rainfall in mm (Municipality);
    • S = sum of the collecting surfaces in m2; 0.9 = effectiveness of the leaf filter

    Volume of water to recover:

    • V = ab x 150 x 365 x R (litres)
    • Ab = n. of the people living there; 150 = average water consumption per inhabitant/d;
    • R = % of water that is intended to be recovered

    Useful tank volume:

    • Vs = M x 21/365 (litres)
    • M = average between Q and V;
    • 21 = consecutive average days without precipitation; 365 = days/year

    MAINTENANCE OF RAINWATER RECOVERY SYSTEM

    Installation

    For installation, follow the instructions in our “handling, laying and use” manual.

    To start

    Rainwater recovery plants have no need to start and are ready for use. Previously fill the tank with clean water and use it according to the purposes for which it was installed.

    Maintenance

    For rainwater recovery plants, the following operations shall be carried out at least every six months:

    • Check for deformation on the inner surface of the tank.
    • Check that no coarse bodies obstruct the inlets and exits of the tank and, if necessary, immediately remove them.
    • Check the effectiveness of the leaf filter and any clogging. Clean it clean it from leaves or branches stuck in the middle of the grid or clean it by jet of water pressure.
    • Check that an excessive layer of silt has not formed in the bottom of the storage tank and, if necessary, clean the tank with water jet cleaning and disinfection with sodium hypochlorite or other disinfectant.
    • Check the operation of the level probes and instrumentation supplied with the control unit (pressure gauge, pressure switch, solenoid valves, etc…)
    • Verify that the absorption of the pressurization pump is within the plate data of the equipment itself
    • Check the pressure of the expansion vessel and, if necessary, return it to the pressure plate

    CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY OF RAINWATER RECOVERY SYSTEM

    The rainwater recovery plants Di Camillo Tanks are used for the collection of runoff rainwater coming exclusively from the roofs of buildings to supply services that do not require drinking water as indicated in the product data sheets (STC 01).

    They are made of polyethylene, through the system of “rotational molding” and comply with the requirements of the following Standards:

    • UNI EN 11445:2012
    • CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria)
    • D.M. n.63 of 10 March 2020
    • 2.2.8.2. Rainwater purification and reuse
    • 2.2.8.3. Public green irrigation network
    • 2.3.4. Water saving

    Purification yields

    The plant at full capacity returns water in accordance with national standards required for its reuse for non-drinking purposes. Every user used with recovery water must be indicated with a sign indicating: “NON POTABLE WATER”.

    Warnings

    Clean the container of any processing residues present or formed.

    Temperature of use of the liquids contained on the tanks -20 ¿C +60 ¿C, we recommend not to exceed 50 ¿C.

    Please note that the performance of the tank Di Camillo Tanks depend on the development of the entire rainwater recovery system, the characteristics of the inlet water compatible with polyethylene and the parameters used for its sizing reported in the product data sheets; the relative state of use, its installation and regular periodic maintenance.

    We recommend to check the suitability of the Di Camillo Serbatoi plant, where necessary, with the competent body of the territory, since there are substantial differences in the solutions accepted by local authorities that could enact different and more restrictive provisions in compliance with local regulations.
    The plant solutions suggested by Di Camillo Serbatoi do not replace as role and function neither the competent Technician nor the Authority which is responsible for the authorization release.

    Di Camillo Serbatoi declines all responsibility whenever the correct choice of plant solution is not performed authorized by the competent authority, the correct procedure of management of the depurative process and the inadequate use of the equipment and manufactured parts of the plant itself.
