These problems can prevent the autoclave from completing its cycle, cause pressure drops, steam leaks and even contaminate the water. Here is an overview of a second set of common faults, and their technical solutions.<\/p>\n<h2>Electrical problems<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Electrical faults<\/strong> are among the most frequent in autoclaves. For example, <strong>if the autoclave does not start<\/strong>, or there are <strong>frequent power outages<\/strong>, there could be three causes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Defective float switch<\/strong>. The switch sends, through the magnet, pulses to the sensor based on the movement of the float on the surface of the fluid, to generate a signal depending on whether it is on or off. In the event of a fault or defect, the switch must therefore be tested and possibly replaced, so as to <strong>avoid switching on and off in vain<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Faulty motor capacitor<\/strong>. The capacitor is the component that accumulates voltage to start the engine, therefore in the event of a fault or malfunction, the autoclave may not turn on. Other signs of a bad capacitor include the presence of liquid or swelling. Using a multimeter, you can then check the functionality of the capacitor and replace it if necessary.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Problems with wiring<\/strong>. Especially in the case of <strong>frequent power outages, the problem could be linked to loose connections<\/strong>, or damaged wires, which need to be repaired or replaced to ensure a stable power supply.<br \/>\nProblemi con il motore<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Problems with the engine<\/h2>\n<p>Autoclave engine failures can be of two main types:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Overheating<\/strong>. Rapid overheating of the engine during operation could be a symptom of <strong>ventilation problems<\/strong>. In fact, the engine must be ensured adequate heat dissipation, checking and <strong>removing any obstructions<\/strong> to prevent the problems from worsening in the long run.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Low power<\/strong>. If, on the other hand, the engine is not running at full power, the suggestion is to <strong>check the power supply<\/strong>, to ensure that it complies with the specifications of the engine. Only lastly should the motor be replaced with one suited to the needs of the system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Problems with water.<\/h2>\n<p>Another of the most obvious problems with the autoclave concerns <strong>water. <\/strong>Dirty water coming out of the tap, or water that gives off strange and unpleasant odors, can be linked to two different factors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Filters clogged<\/strong>. Dirty water may indicate clogging of the system filters. Maintenance should be periodic: the filters <strong>must be checked, cleaned, and possibly replaced to maintain high water quality. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong> Contamination of the tank.<\/strong> More complicated is resolving the presence of strange odors coming from the tank.
